The largest space-consuming elements are: the stage or speaker’s platform (4 to 60 m²), the bar and catering area (10 to 30 m²), the DJ booth or technical room (4 to 20 m²), the coat check and entrance area (10 to 25 m²), mandatory escape routes (aisles at least 1.2 m wide), and the production setup for lighting and sound.
When you add it all up, 35 to 40% of the total floor space is taken up by non-guest areas. For a 500 m² venue, that leaves you with 300 to 325 m² for your guests.
