How can you make a business event more inclusive?

Start with the basics: physical accessibility (wheelchair access, elevators, restrooms), sensory accessibility (noise levels, lighting, quiet areas), dietary needs (halal, kosher, vegan, allergens), and language use (avoid jargon and inside jokes that not everyone will understand).

Inclusivity goes beyond simply making accommodations: it’s about creating a program that resonates with everyone, not just the dominant group. That means featuring diverse speakers, varying program formats, and explicitly inviting participants to share their needs in advance. An inclusive event starts with an inclusive invitation.
