What is the difference between brand experience and brand activation at events?

Brand activation is a specific, targeted initiative that makes the brand visible and tangible to a target audience—think of a product launch, a pop-up store, or an interactive installation. Brand experience is broader: it encompasses the entire experience participants have with the brand during an event, from the invitation to the aftermovie.

Brand activation is one aspect of the brand experience. You can use brand activations within an event to reinforce specific brand associations, but the experience encompasses everything: location, atmosphere, program, entertainment, catering—every element contributes to the overall brand experience.
