What is the difference between a members' meeting and a members' convention?

A members' meeting is a formal decision-making process. Members vote on the annual report, the budget, board elections, and any proposed amendments. This is a statutory requirement for every association.

A members' conference goes beyond the ordinary. It is a full-fledged event featuring a substantive program, speakers, workshops, networking opportunities, and a festive atmosphere. The goal is not only to manage, but also to connect, inspire, and celebrate.

In practice, many large organizations combine the two: a brief formal meeting is incorporated into a larger conference. This ensures compliance with the bylaws while also making the event something to really look forward to.
