Think in terms of four categories: venue and technology (power outage, internet outage, equipment failure), external and weather-related (rain, extreme heat, traffic, public transportation disruptions), staff and vendors (speaker or performer cancellation, catering failure to deliver, host team absence), and guests and safety (medical incident, too many or too few attendees, conflict or emergency situation). Start with a long list and then assess which risks have the highest probability-impact score. Those deserve a concrete action plan.
