How do you ensure a good turnout for a club event?

Getting people to attend a club event requires an active invitation strategy. Members decide for themselves whether to attend—they aren’t employees who are required to be there.

Three things make all the difference: a clear value proposition in the invitation (why is this event worth attending?), a low barrier to registration (easy registration, free or low-cost), and multiple reminders (send one at least six weeks in advance, followed by two follow-ups).

Add social proof: "Already 400 members have signed up." Involve regional chairs in the communication—a call to action from their own region works better than a central newsletter.
