Effective team building hinges on three things. First: a clear question to start with: What needs to change after this day? Second: an activity format that addresses that question. Task-oriented formats, such as simulations, reveal behavioral patterns that would otherwise remain hidden.
Third: post-session reflection. A coach who points out what they observed and helps the team translate those patterns into concrete agreements. This third step is most often skipped, yet it is the most valuable.
