Should I include the budget in a pitch document for an event agency?

Yes. Omitting the budget is the most common mistake in an event briefing. Agencies that don’t know the budget present proposals that are way off the mark—too big, too small, or with the wrong focus. Provide a range: “We’re working with a budget of €50,000 to €75,000, excluding VAT.” That’s specific enough for a relevant proposal, but it gives the agency room to make choices. The fear that the agency will always stretch the budget to the maximum is understandable but unfounded: a good agency will present a proposal that fits within the framework and provides transparent advice.
