The best tool is the one your audience can use without any explanation. For business events, Mentimeter, Slido, and Poll Everywhere work well as voting tools: everyone just grabs their phone and votes using a QR code.
Digital Q&A boards are effective for questions and discussion: participants submit questions that appear on a screen in real time and are upvoted. For smaller groups, accessible offline interaction is often more powerful: discussion cards, whiteboards, and Post-its. No technical barriers, more human connection.
Our rule of thumb: use no more than one new tool per event. More tools lead to confusion. Fewer tools lead to more interaction.
