Zaandam Centraal is a 12-minute train ride from Amsterdam Centraal. By car via the A10, it takes 20–25 minutes. Zaanstad has excellent parking facilities—a major advantage over Amsterdam. For employees commuting from North Holland North, Zaanstad is actually more convenient than downtown Amsterdam.
