Boskalis Beach Cleanup Family Day

For the Boskalis Beach Cleanup, we turned cleaning up into a mission. Because with just a trash bag, everyone gives up after ten minutes.

Hundreds of colleagues and their children headed to Katwijk, with music playing along the route. Every piece of plastic was immediately logged in the global Literati app. This allowed everyone to see the results of the cleanup effort right there on the spot.

The best part was at the 3D printers: a discarded bottle was turned into a small keepsake. It suddenly became very clear to the kids: this is what cleaning up can lead to.

You don't get people on board by pointing fingers, but by making it visible. A cleaner coastline and a day that will be talked about for a long time to come.
